Scientists who learned to animate, not animators who googled biochemistry.
iJEP Studio is run by scientists with backgrounds in medicine, biochemistry, molecular biology and structural biology. After years of staring at structures that only other specialists could read, the studio was started with one aim: make the molecular world as watchable as it is beautiful, without bending the science to do it.
What began as a TikTok channel has grown into an audience of tens of thousands and a studio that works with research groups, educators and biotech teams. Every animation still starts the same way: a real structure, a real mechanism, and the question "what would make someone stop scrolling?"
- 01StructurePDB entry, cryo-EM map or AlphaFold model
- 02PrepareFitted, cleaned up and checked against the data
- 03StoryboardStills you sign off on before rendering
- 04AnimateMotion built from the real mechanism
- 05Render4K, landscape and vertical
Three things every iJEP film is held to.
Shapes, scales and stoichiometry come from the deposited structure. Where we simplify for clarity, we say so.
Motion, colour and pacing are tuned for a general audience, tested on hundreds of thousands of viewers.
You see stills and a storyboard before the render farm starts, and you sign off on the science first.
